This year's synod of Abbot Presidents was held at the home monastery of Abbot Primate Gregory Polan. In summary of the Synod he wrote:

"We can rejoice in a productive and peaceful Synod recently completed at Conception Abbey, my home monastery.  I am grateful for the fraternal expressions of gratitude for the hospitality and welcome which was afforded from the monastic community, the workers at the guesthouse, and all the collaborators in preparing for the Synod".

We are also pleased to announce that Abbot Maksymilian Nawara, together with Abbot Jeremias Schroeder and Abbot Anthony Puthenpurackal, has been re-elected to the Standing Committee of the Synod and to the Council of Abbot Primates.
