A few years ago, in the Archdiocese of Münster in the north of Germany, the Abbey of St Thomas of Kappadu in India began an experiment to establish a small fraternity dedicated to pastoral work. In view of the forthcoming canonical visitation of the Abbey of Kappadu, the Abbot President paid a visit to the two brothers (Fr. Ephrem Maniyamprayil OSB, Fr. Stephen Vattodiyil OSB) who reside in Telgte, the famous pilgrimage centre of St Mary. The short two-day visit (29th and 30th May) was an opportunity to talk together, to get to know the places where they work and to meet the priests of their parishes.
